In the run up to the release of her new album CACTI, Bristol artist Billy Nomates steps into her power on the biting new single 'Spite'. Exhibiting a moving sense of self-awareness, Nomates' provocative sense of humour shines through in the lyrics, which play out as threatening self-motivation exercise. Sonically angsty, dirty guitar seesaws beneath Nomates' characterful delivery, introducing 80s-inspired synths in the chorus and post-punky bass, soaked in a watery chorus effect, reminiscent of The Cure or Jah Wobble's work in PiL.
